English Name:Elephant Creeper
Latin Name:Argyreia speciosa
Description:An extensive climber with large ovate-cordate leaves found growing wild in north-eastern Himalaya and in south India. Bark and root of the plant are used medicinally.
Dosha:Alleviates vitiation of Vata and Kapha.
Usage:Roots of Elephant Creeper has been extensively used to control inflammation of varied nature. Experimental studies justify such usage by establishing its potent anti inflammatory activity.
